The Buffalo Bills have a new head coach in Joe Brady, who will look to get Josh Allen and Co. over the hump and into the Super Bowl. Nonetheless, this is Year 1 for him as a head coach, and he made it clear that it's his first time at the helm of a team.
"Look, this is Year 1. It's not Year 10, right? There's been a foundation that's been set here, and it might be a little different in a sense of we understand the expectations and everything that comes with it, right," Brady said on Feb. 24.
Nonetheless, FS1's Chris Broussard isn't buying that the Bills should be seeing the 2026 season as Year 1 under Brady. He notes that, with Allen entering his ninth NFL campaign this year and turning 30 in May, Buffalo still faces the pressure of being a Super Bowl-or-bust team.

"He's right; it's not Year 10, but it ain't Year 1," Broussard said on the Feb. 26 edition of "First Things First." "It's Year 9, all right? And that's Josh Allen's ninth year. The moment Joe Brady signed the contract, the expectation is [reaching the] Super Bowl this year.
"It's the same thing for Lamar Jackson and the Ravens. But every year, it's more so for the Bills for this reason: They've never won a Super Bowl, and they've been good and gotten plenty and lost. We all know that."

Last season was arguably Allen's best opportunity to reach the Super Bowl, considering the Baltimore Ravens and Kansas City Chiefs missed the playoffs. However, the Bills fell to the Denver Broncos in the divisional round, leading to the firing of Sean McDermott.

Moreover, Broussard believes that every season that the Bills don't win a Super Bowl with Allen as their QB, the pressure only increases.
"Every year they don't win it, it is going to ratchet the pressure up even more on Josh Allen and the Bills organization, including Joe Brady," Broussard added.
"So nobody cares if they go 17‑0. Nobody cares if Josh wins another MVP. If they end their season like they did this year, whatever round, it's going to be a big disappointment. So the pressure is on. Nobody wants to hear that, 'Oh, it's the first year, and all that stuff.' They've got to get it done."
