The New York Giants are set for an NFC East clash against the Philadelphia Eagles on Thursday night, giving the team a short week to prepare following Sunday's disappointing Week 5 loss to the previously winless New Orleans Saints.

The Giants did not hold a practice session on Monday, but rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart appeared on the estimated injury report as a limited participant with a hamstring injury.

Dart was upgraded to an estimated full participation when the Giants took the field for another walkthrough on Tuesday, and Giants head coach Brian Daboll told reporters that he expects Dart to play in Thursday night's primetime matchup against the Eagles.

"The Giants are holding a walkthrough today due to the short week just as they did yesterday, so practice participation is a projection. QB Jaxson Dart (hamstring) would have been limited yesterday, but Daboll believes he'll be fine for Thursday night," team insider Art Stapleton reported on Tuesday.

Dart confidently confirmed Daboll's words after the Giants' walkthrough.

"Never a doubt," the 22-year-old signal-caller said when asked if he plans to play on Thursday.

Dart made his first career NFL start in a Week 4 win over the Los Angeles Chargers. Prior to that game, veteran signal-caller Russell Wilson had the Giants off to an 0-3 start before being benched for the rookie first-round pick.

In Week 4's win over the Chargers, Dart threw for 111 yards and one touchdown on 13 of 20 passing, adding 54 yards and another score with his legs. The No. 25 overall draft pick threw for 202 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions in Sunday's Week 5 loss to the Saints.

Dart and the Giants will now face off against an Eagles team that just suffered its first loss of the 2025 season. Thursday night's game will kickoff at 8:15 p.m. ET on Amazon Prime Video.
