Las Vegas Raiders tight end Brock Bowers underwent a meniscus trimming procedure on Tuesday and will miss at least the first game of the 2026 regular season, according to a report from NFL insiders Adam Schefter and Ian Rapoport.

Bowers is expected to miss "one or two" games due to the injury he sustained during training camp.

This news came out of nowhere on Wednesday, with Raiders head coach Klint Kubiak telling reporters just hours earlier that he expected to have all of his players available for Sunday's Week 1 matchup against the Miami Dolphins.

Bowers' fiancee, Cameron Newell, posted a photo of the tight end soon after the news of his injury broke.

Bowers and Newell got engaged earlier this summer.

“My guy, So ready to watch you crush this season,” Newell wrote as her caption on Instagram.
