Recent trade rumors and reports have linked the Denver Broncos to the pursuit of Indianapolis Colts running back Jonathan Taylor.
The Colts are in the midst of an obvious rebuild, trading away several key players this past week. Meanwhile, the Broncos stand atop the AFC West with a 6-2 record following Sunday's win over the Kansas City Chiefs.
On Monday, Broncos head coach Sean Payton was asked about the rumors surrounding a possible trade for Taylor.

"[General manager] George [Paton] and I will spend time looking at the team and anywhere we can improve it, but I'm not going to answer questions about internet gossip," Payton replied, via team reporter Parker Gabriel of the Denver Post.
The Broncos placed second-year running back RJ Harvey on the injured reserve this past week. Veteran ball carrier JK Dobbins and breakout rookie RB Jonah Coleman currently lead the Denver backfield.
Coleman seemingly took over the No. 1 running back role in Week 8, taking his team-high 11 carries for 41 yards and a touchdown, while also leading the team in receiving with four catches for 63 yards.

The Colts gave Taylor just eight carries in Sunday's 42-7 loss to the Jaguars.
