Since getting drafted No. 1 overall in the 2024 NFL Draft, Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams had to deal with critics every step of the way.
From the way he dressed to how emotional he was off the field to the way he scrambled on the field, every movement and throw of the ball for the former USC Trojan has been under a microscope.
Finally, though, after a bumpy rookie season, Williams silenced some of his doubters by leading the Bears to the NFL playoffs as the winners of the NFC North.

Although Williams did not become the first Chicago Bears quarterback to throw 4,000 yards in a single regular season, falling short by 58 yards, he has solidified himself as the franchise’s signal caller of the present and future.
And as he heads into his first-ever NFL playoff game at home against his heated rival, the Green Bay Packers, instead of worry, there’s confidence behind Williams’ words.
Throughout his career, from college to the pros, he has not been afraid of the spotlight.
Williams welcomes it.

“I am built for these moments,” Williams said.
It will be the biggest game of Williams’ career, as even though he won a Heisman during his time with Lincoln Riley and the Trojans, the team never made it to the College Football Playoff.
The Chicago Bears QB, however, believes he will do everything he can to help his team prevail and move into the divisional round two weeks from now.
“In those moments and in these moments, I think I can provide a spark for the team,” he continued. “I think I can do whatever my team needs me to do. Whether that's stay in the pocket, whether that's run, whether that's scramble, whether that's hand the ball off 30 times and be energetic about it.”
Williams and the Bears will take on Jordan Love’s Green Bay Packers on the opening night of the playoffs this Saturday.
