During a podcast appearance earlier this week, Los Angeles Rams safety Quentin Lake fired a brutal jab at Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert.

Lake picked off Herbert on one of his two interceptions during Sunday's Week 8 matchup at SoFi Stadium.

“I mean, he was throwing deli meat out there. He’s seeing ghosts, I’m not gonna lie. I don't know what's going on. We knew we were gonna get a couple," Lake said on the "St. Brown Podcast."

Chargers offensive coordinator Mike McDaniel was asked about this comment from Lake when speaking to reporters on Thursday.

"People are saying whatever they want with whatever facts they have when we're not living up to expectations," McDaniel said. "Keep it moving."

Chargers head coach Jim Harbaugh had a similar response.

"As far as anyone's opinion, I don't see that. Everybody's entitled to their opinion," Harbaugh said.

Herbert leads the NFL with 10 interceptions through the Chargers' 0-7 start to the season. The Los Angeles offense hasn't recorded a single touchdown since Week 5.

The Chargers will face off against the Houston Texans in a Week 9 matchup this coming Sunday.
