The Kansas City Chiefs are bringing one of the most accomplished kickers in NFL history back into the league following a lengthy absence.
Kansas City is signing former Baltimore Ravens kicker Justin Tucker to its practice squad, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport and Sam McDowell of The Kansas City Star.
The move marks Tucker's first NFL contract since his release from Baltimore in May 2025, which came amid an investigation into allegations of sexual misconduct involving massage therapists.

Tucker, 36, spent 13 seasons with the Ravens, establishing himself as one of the most reliable kickers in league history. However, his career took a significant turn in 2025 after 16 massage therapists from eight Baltimore-area spas accused him of inappropriate conduct during massage sessions.
The allegations prompted an NFL investigation, which resulted in Tucker receiving a 10-game suspension for violating the league's personal conduct policy.
Tucker has consistently denied the allegations. He was not criminally charged, and the suspension was served while he remained a free agent.
Baltimore released Tucker in May 2025, ending a tenure that included seven Pro Bowl selections, five first-team All-Pro honors and a Super Bowl championship.
Despite his controversial departure, Tucker's accomplishments on the field remain significant. He holds the NFL record for the longest successful field goal at 66 yards, which he made against the Detroit Lions in 2021.
Tucker also converted 89.1% of his field goal attempts during his time in Baltimore, establishing himself as one of the most accurate kickers in NFL history.
His final season with the Ravens, however, was his least productive. Tucker converted just 73.3% of his field goal attempts in 2024, connecting on 22 of 30 kicks.
Since becoming eligible to return, Tucker has reportedly participated in workouts with several teams, including the New York Jets, Indianapolis Colts, New Orleans Saints and Miami Dolphins.
Now, Kansas City is giving the veteran another opportunity as the team evaluates its kicking situation.

Current Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker has struggled with consistency, missing 15 total kicks since the beginning of the 2025 season.
Tucker's addition to the practice squad does not guarantee he will replace Butker, but it provides Kansas City with an experienced alternative.
The signing represents a significant development in Tucker's attempt to resume his NFL career, while also bringing renewed attention to the allegations and league discipline that preceded his departure from Baltimore.
