For the first time in four years, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce will not be playing in the Super Bowl.

But that doesn't mean he doesn't have a whole lot of thoughts about the biggest football game of the year.

After going back-to-back-to-back to the Super Bowl, most recently losing to the Philadelphia Eagles last season, Kelce has been surveying the postseason for the first time in over a decade and has been giving his weekly thoughts on his podcast "New Heights" with his older brother, Jason Kelce.

When it comes to Super Bowl LX, the contest between the New England Patriots and the Seattle Seahawks, much of the talk has centered on the quarterbacks.

The prodigal No. 3 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, Drake Maye, who is battling for an MVP in his sophomore season, has led the Patriots back to the title game.

And his opponent, Sam Darnold, was the No. 3 overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft, and has had the complete opposite path to the Super Bowl. He was cast aside by the New York Jets, left to perish with the Carolina Panthers, and has reached his full potential almost a decade after he was picked.

Travis, though, has another matchup that he is more excited about for the big game, one that will be a direct fight on the field.

"I'm [very] interested in the big matchup outside the numbers," said the Chiefs tight end. "Now that's going to be a fun [expletive] matchup right there. Two young, up-and-coming guys, both at the top of their game right now."

He was speaking about the likely battle between the Seahawks' top receiver, Jaxon Smith-Njigba, and the Patriots' top cornerback, Christian Gonzalez. Both are 23 years old and linchpins on their respective sides of the ball for their teams. If one can outdo the other on the night, it could be the difference in which team hoists the Lombardi Trophy by night's end.

Smith-Njigba is heavily favored to take home the Offensive Player of the Year award on Thursday before Super Bowl LX. Gonzalez, projected as a future contender for the Defensive Player of the Year award, will have to be at his best to shut down Darnold's top weapon.
