The failed Maxx Crosby trade may have given the Cleveland Browns a solid baseline for a potential return for Myles Garrett.
They proposed a rule change that would allow NFL teams to trade draft picks five years out, rather than three years as they do now. Then, just days later, they reworked Myles Garrett's contract to push the date of his bonuses, which makes his massive $160 million much more tradeable.
Unsurprisingly, it didn't take long for people to connect the dots and wonder whether the Browns would finally trade Garrett.

With that in mind, Connor Orr of Sports Illustrated named 12 teams as potential trade suitors for the two-time Defensive Player of the Year.
Per Corr, the Jaguars, Colts, Rams, Niners, Cowboys, Bears, Eagles, Titans, Patriots, Bills, Giants and Commanders all have the resources and potential need to make a run at Garrett:
"The runway for an elite pass-rusher trade has already been created by the failed Raiders-Ravens pact for Maxx Crosby, which was a modified version of the consummated Micah Parsons to Green Bay deal," Orr explained. "Garrett is a year older than Crosby and would likely field the two first-round picks, plus a player in return."

That said, the Browns may not be interested in making this move. This might just be a way to give the team a sixth-mon salary cap break and not much more.
In fact, ESPN insider Adam Schefter joined the Pat McAfee Show to ensure that the Browns told him that they weren't going to trade him:
“I called the Browns. I’m like, ‘What’s going on here?’ And they were like, ‘We are 100% definitely not trading Myles Garrett.’ They were adamant about it. They were like, ‘Don’t even bring it up and dignify the fact, because we’re not trading him,'” Schefter told McCafee.
Then again, teams have said this multiple times, just to move on from the player as soon as they can, so people should take those words with a grain of salt.
Garrett is arguably the best player in the world, and teams will be lining up to sell the farm to get him if he ever becomes available.
