The Dallas Cowboys picked up a huge 38-21 win over the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 7.
With this victory, the Cowboys now have a 3-4 record and are second in the NFC East. With this, the Cowboys' playoff hopes are not gone yet, and they could look to add to their roster ahead of the trade deadline because of it.
The Cowboys need to strengthen their defense before the trade deadline if they hope to increase their chances of making the playoffs. Due to this, they are now being connected to a notable linebacker trade candidate from the Pittsburgh Steelers.

ESPN's Matt Bowen and Jeremy Fowler named the Cowboys a top potential landing spot for Steelers star linebacker Patrick Queen ahead of the trade deadline.
"Rumors of a Queen trade persisted in the spring, with the Cowboys among teams that checked on his availability. He's also a 2027 free agent. Team fits: Cowboys, Bills," Bowen and Fowler wrote.

With the Cowboys needing an upgrade at the linebacker position, it makes sense that they are being linked to Queen. This is especially so when noting that they have targeted him in the past, as reported by Bowen and Fowler.
Queen would be a massive pickup for a team looking to make the playoffs, like the Cowboys. The two-time Pro Bowler is a major difference-maker and would give Dallas' defense a significant boost if brought in.
In seven games this season with the Steelers, Queen has posted one sack and 48 tackles. He has also recorded at least 106 tackles in five out of his previous six NFL seasons. With this, he is an impactful player, and it would make a lot of sense for Dallas to pursue him ahead of the deadline because of it.
