Reporters noticed something different about head coach Brian Schottenheimer after the Dallas Cowboys' Week 7 win over the division-rival Philadelphia Eagles on Monday night.
Schottenheimer's postgame press conference lasted just over four minutes as he gave terse answers to the reporter pool at Lincoln Financial Field. Every other postgame press conference so far this season has lasted somewhere around 10-15 minutes.
“I’m great. Excited for our guys," Schottenheimer replied when asked if he was alright.

Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott went into more detail explaining the attitude of his head coach.
“Definitely a hungry, pissed off version of Shotty," Prescott said, via team insider Jon Machota of The Athletic. "It’s not like he’s naive. It’s not like he hadn’t heard some noise about him, and whether it’s calling the games or whatever doubt that’s been out there. But we’ve got his back. He knows that. He’s a guy that takes a lot of pride in his job, a lot of pride in his team.
“Everybody handles everything different, so I don’t blame him to an extent. We’ve got his back. More importantly, it’s just about us going out there and executing on Sundays.”
With Monday's win, the Cowboys stop a two-game losing skid and improve their season record to 3-4. They now sit second place in the NFC East, trailing only the New York Giants.

Dallas will look to maintain their positive momentum in this coming Sunday's Week 8 matchup against the Arizona Cardinals.
