Detroit Lions linebacker Jack Campbell was carted off the field and transported to a local hospital after suffering a scary neck injury in Sunday's Week 8 matchup against the Minnesota Vikings.

Campbell laid motionless on the field after making a tackle on Vikings tight end T.J. Hockenson early in the fourth quarter. He was down for more than 10 minutes as he was immobilized on a backboard at Ford Field.

As of Monday afternoon, Campbell is still in the hospital.

"Jack Campbell continues to rest and recover at a local hospital. Preliminary indications are positive and out of respect for Jack and his family we will not share further information at this time," the team shared from its official account on X.
