Landing head coach John Harbaugh was a big win for the New York Giants, and they have the added benefit of adding several Ravens players who followed Harbaugh over from Baltimore.

Among those is tight end Isaiah Likely, who is projected to be an impact player for New York’s offense, especially with star wide receiver Malik Nabers possibly sidelined for the beginning of the season.

Though the Giants have TE Theo Johnson, who was third on the team with 45 catches, 458 yards, and led the team with five touchdowns, Likely will presumably play a big role in the team’s offensive plan.

And former ESPN analyst Ryan Clark is bullish on just how impactful Likely could be next season.

“I believe Isaiah Likely could be a huge reason why you can be patient [with Malik Nabers’ recovery],” Clark stated on “NFL Live.” “When you think about the way he was paired with Mark Andrews in Baltimore, he was the guy that gave you the explosive play, that could stretch you down the seam.

“Now with Jaxson Dart, to give him an outlet that’s closer to the line of scrimmage, closer to the tackle box, I believe Matt Nagy understands how to utilize a tight end, and he could have a young Travis Kelce effect for this New York Giants offense. I believe he is just waiting to be unleashed.”

In four seasons with the Ravens, Likely totaled 135 receptions, 1,568 yards, and 15 touchdowns while backing up Pro Bowler Mark Andrews. His best season came in 2024 when he put up 42 catches, 477 yards, and six scores.

Though he will be splitting time with Johnson, Likely presumably will see more targets than he did in Baltimore.

If he were to make a Kelce-like impact, that would presumably look like 60-70 catches, 800-plus yards, and five to eight touchdowns. That kind of impact will help ease the blow of not having Nabers on the field, but make no mistake, the Giants need Nabers as soon as he’s cleared.
