With Edmunds being an important part of the Giants' defense, there is no question that it is bad news that he is done for the season. This is especially so when noting that the Giants are fighting to maintain the top spot in the NFC East. Yet, New York will now need to adjust with Edmunds being done for the campaign.

Tremaine Edmunds

...

This is certainly a brutal way for Edmunds' first season with the Giants to come to a close. In six games this season for New York before suffering his injury, the 6-foot-4 linebacker posted two sacks to go along with 50 combined tackles. This is after the two-time Pro Bowler had one sack and 112 combined tackles during the 2025 season with the Chicago Bears.

It will now be intriguing to see how the Giants respond to Edmunds being out for the rest of the season. It would not be shocking in the slightest if New York looks to bring in another linebacker between now and the trade deadline following this awful news.
