Kurt Warner called the Pittsburgh Steelers' Week 7 win over the New Orleans Saints in France for the NFL Network. The legendary quarterback still isn't convinced the Steelers are a formidable AFC contender.
The Steelers improved to 5-2 after Sunday's 16-10 victory, but Warner raised doubts about their ability to finally make a deep playoff run.
"I don't think it's gonna go very far," Warner said of Pittsburgh on Wednesday's "Rich Eisen Show."

Warner didn't see enough big-play ability from the Steelers, who kicked three field goals on drives that totaled 33 plays.
"That's the challenge for the Steelers right now, is how do we generate points?" Warner claimed. "I said it on the broadcast: Any defense would line up to say, 'Hey, we'll play a team that has to go 10 to 12 plays every single drive a touchdown. Because we believe in that 10 to 12 plays, either you're gonna make a mistake, or we're gonna create one mistake that's gonna put you behind the 8-ball. And then you can't overcome that.' And that, to me, is who this Steelers team is. They moved the ball on Sunday, but they scored 16 points."
While Warner believes Jaylen Warren can break off big runs, he noted that the Steelers have one rushing touchdown all season. The Hall of Famer needs to see them drive to the goal line more often.
"If you can't get into the red zone and be able to hand the ball off and score, again, offense just becomes really hard," Warner added. "That, to me, is the question with them moving forward."

The Steelers are tied atop the AFC North behind head coach Mike McCarthy, but they'll look to avoid the same outcome that defined the end of Mike Tomlin's tenure. Pittsburgh hasn't won a playoff game in a decade, getting eliminated in the Wild Card Round five times in the last six years.
Before they can prove Warner wrong, the Steelers can claim sole possession of first place by defeating the Cleveland Browns this Sunday.
