Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase delivered eight catches for 142 yards and a touchdown in the first half of Sunday’s game against the Atlanta Falcons.

Cincinnati led 24-10 at the break in Madrid, with Chase accounting for a large share of its offense.

His scoring catch was his seventh of the 2026 season. That made him only the second player in NFL history with at least seven touchdown receptions in each of his first six seasons, joining Pro Football Hall of Fame wide receiver Randy Moss. His first touchdown Sunday was the 61st receiving score of his career.

The NFL identified the milestone before Week 9. Cincinnati quarterback Joe Burrow found Chase for a 47-yard touchdown in the first quarter at Bernabéu Stadium to put him alongside Moss.

Chase’s year-by-year production shows how consistent that scoring has been. He had 13 touchdown catches as a rookie in 2021, followed by nine in 2022, seven in 2023, 17 in 2024 and eight in 2025. He entered Sunday with six this season.

Moss reached the threshold in each of his first six Minnesota Vikings seasons, from 1998 through 2003. He caught 17 touchdowns as a rookie and matched that total in his sixth season, with double-digit totals in five of those six years.

During Friday’s Madrid availability, Chase discussed how his partnership with Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins helps both players. His comments came before Sunday’s milestone.

“We always make each other better within the offense and outside the offense,” Chase said. “I think that's always what it's about.”

Chase also entered Sunday with 27 career 100-yard receiving games, according to the NFL’s preview. His first half pushed that total to 28 before his 27th birthday on March 1, 2027, matching former Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Julio Jones’ total before that age.
