With the NFL trade deadline quickly approaching on Tuesday, Nov. 10, it's that time of the season when players are rumored to be seeking a trade.

So, of course, those players then get asked about the rumors in press conferences.

New York Jets wide receiver Garrett Wilson is one player who was believed to want out of the organization after four-and-a-half seasons in New York. The 2022 NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year remains on a team that is 2-5 and hasn't made the playoffs since the 2010 season. It wouldn't be a shock if Wilson truly wanted out of New York.

But, that doesn't seem to be the case this season, at least according to Wilson himself. When asked if he would request a trade this season, Wilson simply answered "no."

"I see the stuff on social media as well," Wilson said. "That's the reality of things when you lose and stuff like that comes up. We saw it last year, we've seen it before. My name happens to be flying around in that, that's just how this business goes. I try to control what I can control."

Jets fans can now exhale a bit more now.

Despite the consistent disappointment of being on the Jets and losing, Wilson wants to see his time there through. He seems to really enjoy being a Jet.

"Yeah, I want to be here. I want to win games. That’s the one thing we've been missing on here. I love it here," Wilson said. "Do I love it more than I love winning? Nah, to be completely honest. But I'm hopeful. I've never been the best optimistic guy, but I dug deep and I've been optimistic for three, four, five years now. That's why these wins each weekend hurt a little more."

Through seven games this season, Wilson leads the Jets with 37 receptions for 444 yards and three touchdowns.

There's no question regarding Wilson's ability — he's a good wide receiver. The question instead remains with the Jets and whether they can finally get into the winning category and break their embarrassingly long streak of not making the playoffs.
