The Indianapolis Colts really needed a win to lift the team's spirits after they traded away two captains—guard Quenton Nelson and defensive tackle DeForest Buckner—this week. Instead, the Colts suffered their fourth loss in a row on Sunday by falling 42-7 to the Jacksonville Jaguars.
The loss didn't help morale for the organization and the fans, but how did it impact running back Jonathan Taylor? He's been rumored to potentially be traded ahead of the Nov. 10 NFL trade deadline. Taylor's been adamant that he wants to remain a Colt, and the team seems to really want to keep him, too, but anything is possible in the league.
Taylor opened up his comments to reporters in the locker room by describing how "embarrassing" of a loss it was for the Colts on Sunday. He really emphasized how upsetting it was to lose that badly to the Jaguars.

“It’s embarrassing. It's a butt whooping. They kicked our teeth in," Taylor said. "... But that's what we put on display. That's what's going to show up on the field."

...
Taylor was then asked by The Athletic's James Boyd if the loss makes him re-evaluate his thoughts of wanting to stay in Indianapolis. He said it might've if he had played well, but he admitted he personally performed poorly.
“I’m a part of this. My performance was nowhere near up to par," Taylor said. "It's not like I'm sitting here, 'Hey, I went for 200 yards and five touchdowns and still lost.' No, I'm still part of this. I'm part of the embarrassing butt whooping today."
This was Taylor's way of staying mum about the trade rumors.
He makes a good point, though. If he had put up the performance of the year but the Colts still found a way to lose badly to the Jaguars, it would make any NFL player want to leave the team surely. But, Taylor only had eight carries for 23 yards. It was his worst performance of the season. It'd be somewhat hypocritical of him to bash his team and leave them when he didn't do much to help them try to win either.
This will likely be a continuing storyline until the trade deadline passes. But, for now, Taylor remains with the Colts.
