Indianapolis Colts running back Jonathan Taylor has been an obvious trade candidate ever since the team decided to start tearing things apart amid its 2-6 start to the season.
However, until Taylor is dealt, he remainsa Colt, and that uncertainty is something he would happily do without.
“No one wants uncertainty,” Taylor said via Stephen Holder of ESPN. “Until the past couple weeks, it’s kind of been the same thing. But it won’t be until Tuesday where you’ll know exactly what’s going on, you’ll know exactly what the verdict is.”

The Colts seem to be willing to drag their decision to trade Taylor down to Tuesday’s 4 p.m. ET deadline with the hopes of getting the best return possible. It has been long reported they are hoping to receive a first-round pick back.
That remains to be seen, though, and Taylor seems to over fielding questions about whether he’ll remain with the team.

Until then, all Taylor can do is focus on the Colts next opponent in the Dallas Cowboys, and while there's been speculation as to whether Indianapolis could keep him sidelined with a potential trade on the horizon, head coach Shane Steichen shut that down, too.
“I think there’s a lot of stuff out there right now, but he’s on our football team and he’s excited for this opportunity to play. He wants to go win this game,” Steichen said via The Associated Press. “There’s a lot of hypotheticals out there on the trade talks right now, but he’s on our football team.”
A second-round pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, Taylor has rushed for 8,208 yards and 77 touchdowns in his professional career.
