As is, the Los Angeles Rams will enter the 2026 NFL season with quarterback Matthew Stafford, All-Pro wide receiver Davante Adams, and All-Pro wide receiver Puka Nacua.
Stafford is the reigning NFL MVP. In 2025, Adams led the NFL with 14 touchdowns. Nacua led the NFL with 129 catches and 107.2 yards per game, while recording a career-high 1,715 yards and 10 touchdowns. Oh, and running back Kyren Williams put up his third-straight 1,000-plus-yard rushing season.
The Rams lost 31-27 in the NFC Championship Game to the eventual champion Seattle Seahawks because of their defense, primarily a susceptible secondary. The Rams successfully addressed that by trading for Kansas City Chiefs All-Pro cornerback Trent McDuffie and signing former Chiefs cornerback Jaylen Watson in free agency.

According to Daniel Jeremiah's latest mock draft, the Rams are freed up to triple down on star power at receiver.

...
Jeremiah projects the Rams to select former USC wide receiver Makai Lemon at No. 13 overall in the 2026 NFL Draft on April 23.
"According to NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport, the Rams were in on trade discussions for Eagles star A.J. Brown, which points to their desire to add at receiver," Jeremiah wrote. "Lemon has the characteristics they covet in wideouts, with toughness, strong hands, and the ability to pick up yards after the catch."
Lemon earned All-American honors as a junior at USC last year. He posted a collegiate career-high 1,156 yards and 11 touchdowns on 79 catches and 14.6 yards per reception.
Longtime NFL analyst Lance Zierlein compares Lemon to Detroit Lions All-Pro do-it-all receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown. Lemon told PFT Live at last month's 2026 NFL Combine that he has received encouragement from St. Brown.
The Rams traded their own No. 29 overall pick to the Chiefs as part of the McDuffie package, but they still have a first-round pick from trading back in last year's draft. As part of that trade, the Atlanta Falcons sent their 2026 first-rounder to the Rams, which became the No. 13 overall pick when Atlanta finished 8-9 last season.
