Miami Dolphins offensive tackle Patrick Paul made headlines on Tuesday when he referred to Las Vegas Raiders pass rusher Maxx Crosby as a "hothead."
Paul was complimentary of Crosby and his game, but said trash talk could definitely play a role in Sunday's Week 1 matchup.
"Yeah, he's a hothead. You can get into his game with that," Paul said. "I mean, he's a great player so you've just got to stay on it all four quarters with him."

Crosby responded to questions about Paul's comments when speaking to reporters on Wednesday. The superstar pass rusher denied any knowledge of the statement, and didn't seem too worried about this outside noise.
"I don't know what they're talking about or who is talking about what. It is what it is. We'll see Sunday," Crosby replied.
Crosby and the Raiders will begin their 2026 campaign with Sunday's Week 1 matchup against the Dolphins. Unfortunately, the team will be without superstar tight end Brock Bowers, who underwent a meniscus trimming procedure on his knee Tuesday.

Sunday's matchup will kick off at 4:25 p.m. ET in Las Vegas.
