Michael Penix Jr. is not beating himself up after throwing four interceptions against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday.
After the game, the Atlanta Falcons quarterback spoke to reporters about his performance. The Falcons lost 16-0, and Penix threw three of his four interceptions in the first half.
"Nah man, I ain't never throwin four picks in a game," Penix said. "It's all good, man. I'm gonna shake back. I promise you I will."

Penix will not blame the weather for his four interceptions, but the weather played a role in both teams not being efficient on offense. But because Penix kept turning the ball over, Buccaneers quarterback Baker Mayfield did not have to do anything.

Michael Penix Jr. Was on a Roll Before the Buccaneers Loss
That's not an exaggeration, as Mayfield did not complete a pass in the Bucs' win over the Falcons. It's the first time since 1974 that a team (the Buffalo Bills) won without completing a single pass, and the fourth time in NFL history.
“Both teams have to play in it. So, for us, knowing the conditions were like that, as a quarterback and a leader, I have to protect the ball," Penix said about the weather conditions in Tampa," per Darius Hayes of Sports Illustrated. "That's the only way we're going to be able to win these games. I did a poor job of that today.”
Penix finished the day completing 8-of-24 passes for 125 yards and four interceptions. Entering Sunday's game, Penix had thrown only one pick, which was in Week 3 against the Green Bay Packers. In the previous two games, Penix threw six touchdown passes and zero interceptions.
