The Jacksonville Jaguars are gaining buzz as a legitimate contender.
One columnist wants to see them make a statement with an aggressive trade deadline.
Pete Prisco predicted the Jaguars would win the Super Bowl before the season started. The bold call doesn't feel as far-fetched now that they're 5-2 with the league's best point differential (+85) by a considerable margin before Thursday night's game against the Baltimore Ravens.

Pundits are gradually paying more respect to the Jaguars, but Prisco still doesn't believe the AFC South squad is getting enough recognition.
"If you ask the majority of the people who one of the best teams in the league were, they would not answer with the Jaguars," Prisco surmised on CBS Sports' "Just Football." "They would not. ... They're being slept on, and they should start paying attention because this team is really, really good."
The Jaguars have allowed an AFC-low 15.9 points per game, but their top-ranked rushing defense took a massive hit with defensive tackle DaVon Hamilton suffering a season-ending quad injury. Prisco wants to see the division leaders acquire reinforcements before Tuesday's trade deadline.
"They're gonna have to make a move," Prisco said. "You're gonna have to get one or two guys. I'm not saying two down interior guys, but maybe one interior guy and one pass rusher. Because I think they need to upgrade that defensive line."

Jacksonville has made three playoff appearances over the last 18 seasons and has never won a Super Bowl. Prisco believes the Jaguars can make a run if they take action on the trade market.
"You're in it," Prisco said. "You're one of the few teams in this league this year that can win the Super Bowl. Go all in and do something."
