It's no secret that the Indianapolis Colts have been open to shopping star running back Jonathan Taylor ahead of Tuesday's 4 p.m. ET trade deadline. However, NFL insider Tom Pelissero thinks where Taylor eventually ends up could be surprising to some.
Pelissero believes that Taylor will ultimately end up staying with the Colts due to the team's high asking price.
"The most likely destination for Colts RB Jonathan Taylor is … staying in Indianapolis. And only the type of blockbuster offer no team has made could pry him out," Pelissero wrote.

The Colts have been reportedly looking for a first-round pick in exchange for Taylor, which is a fairly steep asking price for a soon-to-be 28-year-old running back with a ton of mileage on him already.
There's no arguing Taylor's talent. This season, he has already rushed for 610 yards and eight touchdowns while reeling in 21 catches for another 202 yards, but it will certainly take the right trade partner to execute a deal.

Plus, Taylor has never requested to be traded. In fact, he seems to be over fielding questions about his uncertainty in Indianapolis.
“No one wants uncertainty,” Taylor said via Stephen Holder of ESPN. “Until the past couple weeks, it’s kind of been the same thing. But it won’t be until Tuesday where you’ll know exactly what’s going on, you’ll know exactly what the verdict is.”
Luckily, Taylor will have his answer very soon, and based on these latest reports, he may not even have to pack his bags.
A second-round pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, Taylor has rushed for 8,208 yards and 77 touchdowns in his professional career.
