The NFL and team owners are not supporting Aaron Rodgers' suggestion that the league should have all of its international games in one week.
According to Front Office Sports, there is no support among the NFL and the owners for the plan Rodgers spoke about this week. A source told the outlet, "You'd be competing against yourself" on the international games by playing them in one week.
The sources also shot down Rodgers' claim that an arrangement was considered during the labor negotiations that led to the 2020 Collective Bargaining Agreement between the NFL and the NFL Players Association.

“That’s bizarre,” one source told Front Office Sports. “I’m quite sure we never talked about a 16-game season with two byes and 16 international games in one week.”

Rodgers led the Pittsburgh Steelers to a win against the New Orleans Saints in France on Sunday. After the game, Rodgers spoke about having all 32 NFL teams playing internationally during the same week.
Aaron Rodgers Would Love to See the NFL Make the Change
"There was talk about doing a week - an international week - where you had games in 16 different places, and you just added an extra bye week," Rodgers said, per ESPN. "So you play 16 regular-season [weeks], you have two bye weeks - one of those weeks would've been an international week.
"I think it would've been phenomenal for the game. Now, the owners wanted to push for 17 games for the extra revenue and because they care so much about player safety, but it would've been nice."
The NFL has nine international games scheduled for this year. The games are being played in nine different weeks, and the next game is set for Nov. 8, when the Cincinnati Bengals face the Atlanta Falcons in Spain.
