With teams on their month-long break from mid-June to mid-July in between minicamp and training camp, we’ve reached the deadest point of the NFL offseason.
But fortunately for football fans, there’s just three weeks left before training camp kicks off, followed by the preseason and regular season, which starts the week of Sept. 7.
Until then, we’ve done training camp previews and analyzed the top position battle to watch for all 32 teams. Next up in our offseason series is looking at one rookie from every team who could win a starting job in training camp this season, and we start with the Arizona Cardinals.

Love is the low-hanging fruit here.
Some believed he was the best player in the 2026 draft, and given what Arizona has on its roster — James Conner, Tyler Allgeier, Trey Benson — he’s already the best running back on the team. So, it feels almost like a given he’ll break camp as the RB1.
Beck is also another strong option. With Jacoby Brissett holding out and Gardner Minshew as his primary backup, there’s a possibility Beck could be Arizona’s starter by midseason with as bad as the team’s roster is.
But for the purposes of this exercise, Bisontis is the player to keep an eye on. The 6-foot-5, 330-pounder is a favorite of the Cardinals coaching staff, and some expect him to put up one heck of a fight in camp with incumbent right guard Isaiah Adams.
An All-SEC selection last season, Bisontis allowed just one sack, 12 pressures, and eight hurries while playing 795 offensive snaps at Texas A&M, per Pro Football Focus. Across his final two seasons with the Aggies, Bisontis surrendered just two sacks.
Adams has ended the last two seasons as Arizona’s starting RG, but he hasn’t played more than 700 snaps in either season. With a dominant showing over the next two months, Bisontis could wrestle the starting job away from him.
