There's really no shortage of storylines coming out of Arizona Cardinals training camp, but one rookie has wasted little time getting looks.
That player is Jeremiyah Love. This shouldn't come as a surprise. There's a lot of excitement about him being on the roster.
The Cardinals aren't asking Love to carry the offense as a rookie, and they don't have to make him do that just yet. That's one of the biggest advantages of sitting on a roster with veterans like James Conner and Tyler Allgeier already in the backfield. Arizona can afford to bring the young running back along at the right pace instead of throwing everything at him from Day One.

That doesn't mean Love hasn't made an impression.
During the Cardinals' first padded practice, he showed signs of the explosive playmaking ability that made him one of the most exciting running backs in this year's draft. That's exactly what Arizona was hoping to see.
The Cardinals know what they have in Conner. Even with plenty of miles on his legs, he's still one of the league's toughest runners and a respected leader in the locker room. Allgeier also brings valuable experience after playing in a similar committee role alongside Bijan Robinson in Atlanta. That gives Arizona options.
Instead of rushing Love into a featured role, the Cardinals can let him grow naturally while taking advantage of the different skill sets each running back brings to the offense. If that rotation develops the way the coaching staff hopes, it could become one of the team's biggest strengths.

So, Love has been one of the early standouts. It's only training camp, and nobody is getting trophies for it. But every summer, a handful of players start generating buzz before the season begins.
