On Monday, Nov. 10 the Green Bay Packers suffered their second-straight loss, this time in a 10-7 defeat at the hands of the Philadelphia Eagles.
Green Bay's defense played elite once again, holding the reigning Super Bowl champions to just 10 points and under 300 yards of total offense while shutting down star running back Saquon Barkley, who managed just 60 rushing yards on 22 carries. After the game, Packers head coach Matt LaFleur praised his defense while lamenting the offense's stagnation.
“Our defense was outstanding. Unfortunately, just too many mistakes offensively to overcome it,” LaFleur said after the game. “You hold good football teams to 10 points you should win the football game, but obviously we didn’t do enough offensively. We’ve got a short week. We can’t feel sorry for ourselves. We’ve got to figure it out, come back and do better.”

With a second-straight loss and the offense struggling, hot seat rumors started to emerge for the head coach, who admitted he feels like he's always coaching for his job.
"I'll leave that for everybody else to decide," LaFleur said. "I'll just focus on the day-to-day. I feel like you're always coaching for everything in this league, you know? That's just my mindset. It's always been that way. You can't ever exhale. You got to always be pushing. That's just my mindset and that will be my mindset 'til they tell me not to coach anymore."
Despite falling to 5-3-1 on the season, quarterback Jordan Love made it clear he has "a lot of trust" in his head coach.
“That’s something that’s not wavering at all. I’ve been with Matt since I got here. I know exactly what he’s capable of and what the whole staff’s capable of. So that’s not anything that’s wavering. Like I said, it just comes back to all of us - players, coaches, everybody - finding a way to improve and get better," Love said after the loss.
Green Bay will attempt to bounce back in a battle against the New York Giants, who could be without star rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart, who is going through concussion protocol, in Week 11.
