The Chicago Bears have considerable momentum heading into their Sunday Night Football showdown against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. A TV analyst wondered if they're due for a setback.
Chicago is garnering significant Super Bowl buzz following a resounding primetime win over the Seattle Seahawks. FS1's Nick Wright thinks that leaves them poised for a reality check when they host Tampa Bay in Week 9.
"This feels to me like a vintage 'NFL humbles you' spot," Wright said on Friday's "First Things First." "Bears flying a little high. The Bucs' defense? Wildly underrated. The Bears on a short week."

Wright noted that his show and others have run segments this week asking if the Bears are the best team in the NFL. Caleb Williams is now getting discussed as a premier quarterback despite what Wright considers a "spectacular but relatively modest season."

Tampa Bay can also stymie Chicago's greatest strength. The Bears' No. 3 rushing defense has offered Williams plenty of support, but the Buccaneers have held opponents to a league-low 80 rushing yards per game.
Will the Bears fall for a proverbial trap game as home favorites? Wright expects Ben Johnson's 6-2 squad to stumble at some point over their final nine games, and the 3-5 Buccaneers could be the perfect team to knock them down a peg.
"I don't think they're going to go 15-2. I don't think they are going to just run through the rest of the schedule," Wright said of the Bears. "And I think this is the type of spot where teams lose all the time. Fresh off a huge win, when everyone is planning parades and booking flights for the Super Bowl, the NFL reminds you. ... Will the Bucs slow down Caleb and the Bears? I say yes."
