Las Vegas Raiders first-round running back Ashton Jeanty is just six games into his rookie season, and there’s already some “fake news” circulating about him , which he personally debunked on Wednesday during his media availability.

A viral rumor on social media claimed that when Jeanty was a kid, a restaurant owner used to give him free meals. Years later, after hearing that the restaurant was on the verge of bankruptcy, it had been reported that Jeanty allegedly donated $98,000 to save the business.

The story was shared widely online, garnering thousands of likes and reactions on social media. But when Jeanty was asked about it directly, he made it clear that the story isn’t true.
