The Los Angeles Rams beat the Washington Commanders 20-13 on Sunday to improve to 5-4, moving above .500 for the first time this season. The game was tight and sloppy, with both teams tied at 13 late in the third quarter before quarterback Matthew Stafford connected with wide receiver Puka Nacua for a 7-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter to give the Rams the lead. The defense then stepped up, keeping Washington out of the end zone to close out the game. Los Angeles' defense finished with four sacks and four forced fumbles, two of which the Commanders lost.

The win may have come with a cost, though, Nacua was injured late. He suffered a knee injury on the Rams' final offensive snap, a five-yard run with 1:44 left, and will undergo an MRI on Monday, per NFL insiders Mike Garafolo and Adam Schefter. The team doesn't believe he tore his ACL, but the imaging will determine the severity of the injury.

Before the injury, Nacua had another monster game, catching 14 of 19 targets for 150 yards and a touchdown, along with 20 rushing yards on two carries. He was responsible for well over half of the team's total receiving yards, and it marked his third game this season with 125 yards or more. He's the engine of the Rams' offense, so losing him would be devastating, especially with Davante Adams already out with a hamstring injury that's expected to cost him six to 10 weeks.

Only Tutu Atwell and Konata Mumpfield caught passes among the other receivers on Sunday, combining for four catches for 36 yards on seven targets. Nacua still doesn't have a contract extension either, which adds another interesting layer to the situation.

The Rams visit Arizona next Sunday before their bye week, after which they'll host the Packers on Nov. 25 and the Chiefs on Dec. 3. Adams could return in time for the Green Bay game, and there's a chance Nacua may only miss a brief amount of time as well, especially with the Week 11 bye giving him more time to recover if needed. Monday's MRI should tell us more about what to expect and whether the Rams could feel inclined to add some more firepower before Tuesday's trade deadline.
