Three months ago, ESPN kicked analyst Ryan Clark out its doors during a live show. And on Thursday, during an appearance on “ALL THE SMOKE,” Clark revealed to host Matt Barnes what was said to him during that famous commercial break.

And according to him, it was a “snake-like” move.

“I think the hard part about that is because you weren’t doing the right thing,” Clark started when Barnes asked how he felt during that exact moment he was let go during a live show while others were fired the following day. “That’s, you know, because they weren’t approaching this in the professional business-like manner that they should, I had to be called on air, right? Because you know, and I said this before, you know, when it’s leaked to a group of individuals that are already snakes, they’re going to do snake-like things.

“So you leak it to these people who do foul stuff all the time and now, and, and what’s crazy about it is I’ve seen other people write that they were getting, or that people were calling in, or the news was starting to get out so people were calling to ask questions about it and that’s why they called me,” he continued. “Which could be fair but when the person on the phone’s quote is, in jest, in sarcasm, ‘our friends at Outkick are gonna leak it.’”

Clark went on to say that this is what was told to him during the commercial break by the person on the phone.

“When this happens in the moment, like, you moving, man, like I was going to – we were doing The Pivot training camp tour, so literally I was supposed to do a SportsCenter hit, get in a car and leave and go to the airport. I’m riding down the street, leaving my neighborhood, and I’m getting a text message like ‘hey, you ready to hop on for SportsCenter?’ And I was like oh no, bro, I got fired. And the producer hits me with a laugh out loud ‘I don’t believe you.’”
