The Seattle Seahawks decided to replace star running back Kenneth Walker III with a rookie in Jadarian Price this season. It's a decision that has been since heavily criticized, given Walker's early success with the Kansas City Chiefs, but Price could have something to say about it very soon.
Price has been sidelined on injured reserve ever since he suffered a chest and rib injury in Week 3, but the team designated him to return to practice from injured reserve on Thursday, and that's exactly what he did.

Players who return to practice from injured reserve don't always immediately play that very week, but Seahawks head coach Mike Macdonald said it is “realistic” for Price to play on Monday night against the Chicago Bears.
If that's true, it would be a massive upgrade to Seattle's ground attack. Price's injury and fellow running back Zach Charbonnet's absence as he works his way back from a torn ACL has forced the team to rely on backups Emanuel Wilson and George Holani.

Before Price went down with his injury, he looked like the real deal, rushing for 119 yards on 28 carries (4.3 yards per carry) while also reeling in four catches for another 21 yards.
If he can pick up where he left off, the Seahawks will be even more equipped to defend their Super Bowl title this season.
The No. 32 overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, Price played college football at Notre Dame, where he rushed for 1,692 yards and 21 touchdowns behind No. 3 overall pick Jeremiyah Love from 2023-25.
