The defending Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks have arrived for training camp, and the social media team made it a little extra fun for the players.

Seahawks players were greeted by a goat in Seahawks gear, since goats have been associated with the acronym for greatest of all time. The Seahawks are looking to join rare company in 2026 by becoming the first team to repeat since the Kansas City Chiefs did it in 2023 and 2024 after a nearly two-decade drought of repeat champions.

Seahawks wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba first arrived in the video with the title, "the goat has arrived," for the 2025 Offensive Player of the Year. Njigba had a season for the ages with 119 receptions for 1,793 yards and 10 touchdowns, but the Seahawks social media team had the goat handy to greet many more players in the video.

Linebacker Derick Hall looked surprised on the social media video as he arrived and saw the goat. Defensive tackle Leonard Williams petted the goat, and tight end Eric Saubert called it "the most unique entrance to camp" ever.

Safety Devon Witherspoon joked, "that must be for me," regarding the goat. A few players, such as linebacker Ernest Jones IV and safety Bud Clark, tried feeding the goat.

Linebacker Jared Ivey floated his opinion by saying "what's up LeBron" to the goat in reference to NBA great LeBron James. Fullback Brady Russell picked up the goat despite his concern it might defecate.

Seattle has plenty of work ahead to join the small pantheon of teams that have repeated in the Super Bowl. Only eight other teams have ever achieved that feat in Super Bowl history, which began with the Green Bay Packers' repeat in 1966 and 1967. The Miami Dolphins did it in 1972 and 1973, followed by two Pittsburgh Steelers repeats in 1974 and 1975 plus 1978 and 1979.

Then, the San Francisco 49ers did it in 1988 and 1989, followed by the Dallas Cowboys in 1992 and 1993. Former Seahawks division rival, the Denver Broncos, did it in 1997 and 1998, and the New England Patriots did it in 2003 and 2004.
