The 2-5 Indianapolis Colts have stayed busy this week ahead of the Nov. 10 NFL trade deadline. The team already traded offensive lineman Quenton Nelson to the Seattle Seahawks and pass rusher DeForest Buckner to the San Francisco 49ers.
Then, this week, Colts wide receiver Josh Downs requested a trade out of Indianapolis. When talking to reporters on Wednesday, Downs said "I’m open to whatever. Whatever comes my way comes my way."
Because of his trade request, Downs' status was viewed as being questionable for Sunday's matchup versus the Jacksonville Jaguars. Colts coach Shane Steichen cleared the air on Friday regarding Downs' availability this weekend.

The coach has spoken privately with his wide receiver since Wednesday when the news came out that Downs requested a trade. He didn't offer any more details about where that request stands right now. The Colts have over a week to figure out if it's worth finding a trade partner for Downs.
Another player rumored to be traded in the coming week is running back Jonathan Taylor. He hasn't requested a trade, and it doesn't sound like he plans to, but he is seen as a candidate to leave Indianapolis in his seventh season there. Steichen confirmed that Taylor will also play on Sunday.
Through seven games, Downs has caught 26 of 45 passes thrown to him for 307 yards and zero touchdowns. He's in the middle of his fourth season with the Colts. He leads the team with his receiving yards total.
