Stephen A. Smith called out Michael Irvin when the two were talking about the Dallas Cowboys on Monday.

On ESPN's "First Take," Smith and Irvin shared their thoughts on the Cowboys and whether the game against the Philadelphia Eagles is a must-win. Irvin said that if the Cowboys don't win the game, which will be played on Monday, the season is essentially over.

"I want to let everybody know how pathetic Michael Irvin is," Smith said. "He is absolutely positively pathetic. Get all over him. ...If you see Michael Irvin online somewhere, troll him. Troll him to the end. This is pathetic."

Stephen A. Smith Shares More Thoughts on Irvin and the Cowboys

The Cowboys are currently 2-4, so Smith understands why Irvin thinks they would be in serious trouble if they lose to the Eagles. But the ESPN personality pointed out that Dallas is only two games behind the New York Giants for the NFC East lead.

"What a wuss. You got to be kidding me that your weak self - this is pathetic," Smith said about Irvin. "...You are pathetic, and I love it!"

The Cowboys have lost the last two games and are looking to reach the playoffs for the first time since 2023. A loss will put them in a hole, but they still have 10 regular-season games to turn things around.

Irvin has always supported the Cowboys, having spent his entire playing career with the team. During his time in Dallas, Irvin was named to the Pro Bowl five times, selected to the All-Pro First Team in 1991, and helped the Cowboys win three Super Bowls.
