The Tennessee Titans are making moves, agreeing to terms with defensive lineman John Franklin-Myers on a three-year, $63 million deal, according to NFL insider Jordan Schultz.
Franklin-Myers, 29, put together a pair of strong seasons with the Denver Broncos, registering 14.5 total sacks the past two years. He will rejoin Robert Saleh along the Titans’ defensive line. The coach and pass rusher previously spent time together with the New York Jets, where Franklin-Myers played for four seasons.
The deal will pair the top-dollar defensive lineman with Titans’ defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons, giving Tennessee one of the most fearsome interior defensive lines in the NFL. Saleh has always been able to scheme around talented pass rushers and run stuffers, and that duo provides both.

The Titans have made a concerted effort to rebuild the defensive front this offseason. They acquired edge rusher Jermaine Johnson II from the Jets for nose tackle T’Vondre Sweat, and are getting faster on the perimeter.
Franklin-Myers was highly sought after on the open market. Several reports cited the Cincinnati Bengals as serious players for the former Bronco, but the connections he has with the Titans’ players and coaches seem to have been the difference in the sweepstakes.

On his new deal, $42 million is guaranteed on the contract, according to Schultz. The Broncos will have their work cut out trying to replace Franklin-Myers, who flourished for the team after being acquired for just a sixth-round pick from the Jets in 2024.
The team will still likely receive a solid compensatory pick in the upcoming draft that could help to offset some of the loss.
Tennessee is being aggressive in free agency by bringing in players the coaching staff is familiar with. The Titans also agreed to terms with former Giants’ players WR Wan’Dale Robinson and CB Cor’Dale Flott, re-aligning them with new offensive coordinator and former Giants coach Brian Daboll in Tennessee.
