What the future holds for Travis Kelce remains up in the air as he continues to contemplate retirement. At this point, however, it seems likely he’s leaning one way or another, with many around the league assuming he’ll return to Kansas City for a 14th season.
If he does come back, Kelce would enter unrestricted free agency next week and need to negotiate a new deal with the organization.
Amid the buzz surrounding his decision, Travis and his brother, Jason Kelce, released the latest episode of their “New Heights” podcast on Wednesday. Their guest, NFL legend Randy Moss, asked Kelce to name his favorite moment of his career.

Kelce didn’t hesitate. He pointed to the first time he played in the Super Bowl against the Philadelphia Eagles, facing his brother on the sport’s biggest stage while their mom became a national storyline in the two weeks leading up to the game.
“The coolest moment was being on the mountaintop with Jason,” Kelce said. “Playing in the Super Bowl against the Eagles the first time and being at the Super Bowl with Jason. Having our family kind of get put on a pedestal — our mom … she was on every TV screen left and right because her two boys were playing each other in the Super Bowl.
“When I look back on some of my favorite memories, man … both being captains for the coin toss, looking at each other from across the field — man, it’s a memory I’ll never forget. That was definitely the pinnacle. The guy I started doing this thing with when I was five years old, just in the backyard throwing the ball around.”
Jason played 13 NFL seasons — the same number Travis has now completed — before retiring after the 2023 season when the Eagles were eliminated from the playoffs. He spent his entire career in Philadelphia.
