Despite suffering yet another blowout loss in the playoffs under head coach Mike Tomlin, a number of Pittsburgh Steelers players came to the defense of their coach.
Following a 30-6 blowout loss to the Houston Texans, Rodgers was among those who sang the praises of Tomlin, who faced mounting calls from Steelers fans for his job.
"Mike T. has had more success than damn near anybody in the league for the last 19, 20 years," Rodgers said. "And more than that, though, when you have the right guy and the culture is right, you don't think about making a change, but there's a lot of pressure that comes from the outside and obviously that sways decisions from time to time. But it's not how I would do things and not how the league used to be."

Rodgers spoke glowingly about Tomlin a number of times during the postgame press conference, but one reporter's question about his head coach led to the quarterback's abrupt exit from the media session.
"What did you learn from being with Mike first season about him?" a reporter asked.
An annoyed Rodgers fired back, "I mean I've answered that a number of times. I've talked extensively about how I feel about Mike and I just did in that [expletive] answer...so, thanks," before walking off the podium.
As for Tomlin, the head coach refused to speculate on his future after the loss.
"I'm not going to make any emotional decisions," he said. "At this point, obviously such a fun year. A lot of adversity, but a lot of fun. Been a great year overall in my life in the last year, and this is a really good part of that, coming here and being part of this team. So it's disappointing to be sitting here with the season over."
