Many believed the Minnesota Lynx got the steal of the 2026 WNBA draft when they selected LSU star Olivia Miles with the No. 2 overall pick.
And so far through 25 games, Miles is proving them right.
In Wednesday’s 86-76 win over the Seattle Storm, Miles accomplished a new historical feat. And she did so by breaking a record set by current face of the league Caitlin Clark, and 2025 No. 1 overall pick Paige Bueckers.

“Olivia Miles is the fastest player in WNBA history to reach 500 PTS and 150 AST, doing it in just 26 games 🤯,” the ESPN Insights account posted on X. “She breaks the previous marks set by Paige Bueckers (28 games) and Caitlin Clark (29 games).”
Miles totaled 13 points, six assists, three rebounds, and two steals in Minnesota’s WNBA-leading 22nd win of the year.
Miles has now scored double-digit points in every game this season but one, and she’s recorded six or more assists in 15 of 25 games.

The 23-year-old guard is leading the Lynx in scoring (19.6 points per game) and assists (six per game), and she ranks eighth and 18th, respectively, in the league in both categories.
Miles also leads all rookies in scoring (by a comfortable six-point margin) and assists, and she’s second in steals and third in rebounding among all first-year players, so it’s safe to say much like Clark and Bueckers in their respective draft years, Miles is a runaway favorite to win Rookie of the Year this season.
