Bron Breakker is taking the next step in his recovery from hernia surgery, with a visit to the WWE Performance Center in Orlando set for this week.
Mike Johnson of PWInsider reported that Breakker is expected at the facility as part of the process to be medically cleared for a return to the ring. The visit represents meaningful progress for a performer who has been sidelined since early February and whose WrestleMania 42 status has been a major point of uncertainty for WWE heading into its biggest weekend of the year.
According to WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select, hope exists within WWE that Breakker can return soon, and the promotion has a creative direction ready for his potential appearance at the event, along with a backup plan should doctors not clear him in time.

Breakker's injury occurred on the February 2 edition of Raw when he flipped over the commentary desk in a backstage rage, aggravating a hernia he had been dealing with for some time. WWE's medical staff determined he required surgery, and he has been off television since. The news initially cast serious doubt over his WrestleMania plans, with early reports suggesting the recovery window might extend past April.

The plan that had been building toward WrestleMania centered on Breakker and Seth Rollins. The angle was set in motion at the Royal Rumble, where Breakker entered at number two and was immediately attacked by a masked man, resulting in a ten-second elimination. That masked figure was later revealed to be Rollins at the Elimination Chamber in Chicago. Rollins himself underwent rotator cuff surgery last October and has returned to WWE programming, though he has not yet been cleared for in-ring competition. The expectation remains that he will be ready before WrestleMania.
Should Breakker not be cleared in time, Logan Paul is widely believed to be the backup option to face Rollins in Las Vegas. Bronson Reed had also been a possible alternative, but he suffered a torn bicep ahead of Elimination Chamber and is not expected back until later in the year.
Also heading to the WWE Performance Center this week is WWE Hall of Famer Ricky Morton of the Rock 'n' Roll Express, who will be serving as a guest trainer at the facility. WrestleMania 42 takes place April 18-19 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, now less than four weeks away.
