CM Punk has a reputation for unleashing pipe-bomb promos.
During Monday's April 6 show live from Houston, Punk took to the mic and did just that. He threw verbal daggers at several people — including media personality Pat McAfee and TKO president/agent Ari Emanuel.
Punk specifically riffed on the ticket prices in relation to various WWE tapings as well as the upcoming WrestleMania event later this month.

McAfee was once a commentator on WWE programming. Due to his busy schedule covering sports and pop culture, McAfee stepped aside. It was reported that he recently inked a deal to work with Emanuel with the potential goal of making a foray into the world of film as an action star.
Emanuel is the CEO of TKO — an entity that recently acquired WWE. Naturally, it's not overly surprising to see McAfee recently reemerge on WWE programming. He's suddenly been thrust into an angle as a heel where he's aligned with Randy Orton to battle famed baby face Cody Rhodes.
Punk, also a baby face and purported champion of the people, made the decision to support Rhodes by directly going at McAfee, Emanuel, and TKO.

There's real intrigue over how this will develop. It's somewhat surprising to see Punk go after TKO given its involvement with WWE.
The same can be said for Punk specifically mentioning ticket prices. There have been rumblings over discontentment as it pertains to ticket pricing for many of the Premium Live Events put forth by the company.
Whether Punk is being genuine or not with this point, this is where the magic of professional wrestling comes into play. The blurring of 'reality' and 'fantasy' is intentional and contrived for the audience's benefit.
At the same time, given how gifted he is on the mic coupled with McAfee's newfound turn towards being a 'bad guy', this could be just what the creative doctor ordered.
