Jeff Hardy is entering the new year less than 100%. He has revealed that he has been competing despite a significant neck issue for the past several months.

The "Charismatic Enigma" is currently scheduled to defend the TNA World Tag Team Championships alongside his brother Matt at "TNA Genesis." However, he admits he is "banged up" heading into the high-profile bout.

Speaking on a recent episode of the Budget Cut podcast, Hardy disclosed the specifics of his condition. He noted that the injury stems from the Hardys' loss at "NXT Halloween Havoc." This is where they dropped the NXT Tag Team Titles to the DarkState duo of Dion Lennox and Osiris Griffin.

“What’s different about me this year, I’ve been dealing with an injury since we dropped the titles at NXT.

I actually have two bulging disks on the left side of my neck. It’s definitely better than it was at first, but we’ve been slower for two months now and that’s a little stress creator for me,” Hardy explained.

Despite the bulging discs, Hardy assured fans that he has been medically cleared to perform. However, he acknowledged that he must adapt his in-ring style to protect his body while managing the injury.

“I’m cleared. I can go. I just have to be safe,” he added.

The Hardys have a busy schedule ahead. In addition to defending their TNA gold against The Righteous at "Genesis," they are also advertised for the premiere episode of "Thursday Night Impact" on AMC, which airs on January 15.

The move to AMC marks a significant chapter for TNA, and having the legendary brothers involved is a key part of the network's launch strategy. Jeff's resilience is well-documented over his three-decade career, but neck issues are always a cause for concern in professional wrestling.
