A Look Back: How to See Previous Years’ Spotify Wrapped

If you are trying to revisit old Spotify Wrapped recaps, here’s the key thing to know: Spotify doesn’t offer a permanent, in-app archive that lets you replay past Wrapped “stories” and stats on demand.

But you can still pull up a big piece of your past Wrapped experience—your yearly “Top Songs” playlists—and in some cases find other older Wrapped-related playlists, too.

Your previous years’ top songs should be available in your playlists, like “Your Top Songs 2022,” or “Your Top Songs 2023.”

Sadly, Spotify does not let you go back and revisit previous years Wrapped experiences, so it is a good idea to keep a screenshot if you want to save this year's round-up.

When Does Spotify Wrapped Start Tracking Your Listening?

For 2025, Spotify Wrapped has captured the user’s listening data from the start of January until mid-November, just a few weeks before the launch of Wrapped. Wrapped tracks music, but also podcasts and audiobooks.

Listening to Spotify in private mode and using features like “Exclude from Taste Profile” count toward total listening time, but do not shape taste-based stories on Wrapped.

Spotify also filters out sounds like white noise from your annual listening line-up.

Troubleshoot: Why Your Spotify Wrapped Might Not be Appearing

If you’ve opened Spotify and your Wrapped is not showing up yet, there are a few things you can try. Here are the most common reasons Spotify Wrapped may be missing—and what to try next.

Issue: You’re not using the mobile app

Wrapped is designed for the Spotify mobile app. If you’re checking on desktop or web, you may not see the full Wrapped experience.

Try: Open Spotify on iOS or Android, then go to the Wrapped hub on your Home screen.

Issue: You need to update Spotify

Wrapped features often require the latest version of the app.

Try: Update Spotify in the App Store/Google Play, then fully close and reopen the app.

Issue: Your account may not be Wrapped-eligible

Spotify typically requires a minimum amount of listening activity for Wrapped eligibility. For 2025 eligibility, Spotify said users need at least 30 valid streams across five or more artists between January 2025 and a few weeks before Wrapped launches (Dec. 3).

Issue: It’s rolling out (or your region isn’t eligible)

Wrapped can roll out in waves, and some features may vary by market.

Try: Check again from the Wrapped feed at the top of Home, or search “Wrapped” inside the app.

Issue: You have a restricted or kids account

Some account types, settings or restrictions can limit experiences like Wrapped.

Try: Review your account settings and parental controls (if applicable).

What Is a Wrapped Party—and How Can You Host One?

Spotify Wrapped is no longer just something you post to social media. This year Spotify has introduced the Wrapped Party that can be found in the Wrapped hub in the Spotify mobile app.

Wrapped Party is an interactive experience where your listening data becomes a real-time competition with friends. Instead of comparing screenshots after the fact, you’re revealing stats together, live—making Wrapped more of a group hangout than a solo scroll.

How Do You Find Wrapped Party?

Spotify’s Wrapped feed (at the top of your Home screen) acts as the central hub for all things Wrapped 2025.

Here you can explore your data and jump into a Wrapped Party.

How many people can join a Wrapped Party?

You can play with 2 to 10 people total—that’s one friend up to nine friends.

Spotify says that the more people you have in the group, the more details you may unlock during the experience.

Who can join (and what does “Wrapped eligible” mean)?

Wrapped Party is open to anyone 13 or older and be “Wrapped-eligible.”

To be Wrapped eligible, Spotify says you need to have listened to 30 valid streams across five or more artists from January until a few weeks before Wrapped launched.

How to host a Wrapped Party

Hosting is straightforward—and the host controls the pace.

  1. Create the party

Start the Wrapped Party and you’ll become the host by default.

  1. Make it your own

Update your profile image and name and rename your party.

  1. Invite friends

Share the party using a unique link or code. Friends need to join live to play along.

  1. Start the party and run the game

As host, you decide when it begins and keep things moving.

  1. Customize the vibe

Use emojis to react to reveals, and if you want, pass hosting duties to someone else.

When Does Spotify Wrapped Stop Tracking for 2025?

Spotify doesn’t publish an exact cut-off date each year, but Wrapped typically stops tracking listening sometime in late October or early November.

This is why your listening in November and December usually does not reflect in your Wrapped results.

Spotify has not confirmed the official 2025 cut-off, but if past years are a guide, it is safe to assume the tracking window closed weeks ago.
