The big feature for update 1.34 is, of course, the Droidekas. Fans have long been asking for the somersaulting attack Droids to make it to the game, and DICE has finally delivered nearly two years after Battlefront 2's release. Eagle-eyed observers first spotted Droidekas in key art several months back and were told the feature was not in development, but it's possible fan outcry willed the DLC into existence. Droidekas won't necessarily offer a massive gameplay change that upsets the established meta, but they do go a long way toward making prequel-era maps feel more complete. Especially if you're a Star Wars fan it's always cool to see Droidekas in motion.

On the balance front there are a few key tweaks. The biggest, perhaps, is a blanket buff for Luke that improves every aspect of his character. Especially with newer characters like Anakin still dominating the saber game, a positive overhaul was long overdue. Also buffed are several heal-on-defeat Star Cards and Finn's Big Deal ability. Shooter fans mostly love buffs, and the 1.34 update for Star Wars Battlefront 2 is heavy on them. For a game this late in its lifecycle, there's an impressive amount of content in today's patch.

Star Wars Battlefront 2 is available now on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
