'The Book of Boba Fett' Fans Hail Dave Filoni for 'Mind-Blowing' Cad Bane Reveal

**Warning: this article contains spoilers for The Book of Boba Fett Episode 6**

"Star Wars" fans, especially those who are avid viewers of The Clone Wars, were left in shock and awe by the sixth episode in The Book of Boba Fett.

The latest episode of the Disney+ series saw a number of characters return who last appeared in The Mandalorian Season 2, including, but not limited to, Ahsoka Tano (Rosario Dawson), Cobb Vanth (Timothy Olyphant) and Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill).

But it was the live-action debut of a completely different character that had fans losing their minds: Cad Bane (Corey Burton).

Who is Cad Bane?

Cad Bane is a ruthless bounty hunter who originally appeared in Star Wars: The Clone Wars, which Dave Filoni both wrote and worked on as supervising director.

He was known as one of the best bounty hunters around following the death of Jango Fett, and he worked for multiple crime lords, including Jabba the Hutt.

In the animated series the character had a run-in with Fennec Shand (Ming-Na Wen) who now works alongside Boba Fett (Temuera Morrison), but the character does not have a rematch against her—not yet at least.

No, instead Cad Bane makes an ominous entrance when he makes his way to Cobb's town on Tatooine to warn the Marshal off helping the Mandalorian (Pedro Pascal) with his, Boba Fett and Fennec's plan to thwart the Pyke syndicate.

Cad Bane is now working with the Pyke syndicate to help with its plan to expand spice trade across the planet, and Boba, Fennec and the Mandalorian are a threat to that operation.

When Cobb refuses to back down he and Cad Bane have a tense stand-off, which ends with the bounty hunter shooting down the Marshal and his second-in-command in cold blood.
