Starbucks Worker Reveals 'Grossest' Drink They've Had to Make: 'I Gagged'

A Starbucks barista has revealed the "grossest" drink he has had to make during his time at the chain. Coffee lovers may want to brace themselves.

TikTok-user @kenmixtape posted the video showing the concoction two days ago and it has already gained more than 300,000 likes and 2 million views.

"This is one of the grossest drinks anyone has ever ordered, no cap," read the text-to-voice generator used in the video. "Just look," it continued.

The barista began with what seemed like a regular fruit-based drink, using mango and dragon fruit juice and lemonade, almost making up a classic Mango Dragon Fruit Lemonade Refresher.

Until the recipe completely changes. A shot of espresso is introduced, poured and shaken into the mixture.

"This is so disgusting, seriously," wrote the barista, describing the drink as a "mango dragon fruit with espresso."

The unusual drink order has been met with a string of negative reactions, including one user who claimed to have "gagged" at it.

"Somebody is having a TOUGH morning," wrote one user.

"It was fine until the espresso was added, like why," added another.

Some however suggested that in some countries, lemonade and coffee are mixed together often, making this variation not too surprising.

"Here in Portugal, there's a drink that is freshly made lemonade with an espresso mixed in iced so I'm not sure I'm fully weirded out," commented one viewer.

This isn't the first time a barista has taken to the internet to share their surprising customer orders.

In 2015, baristas weighed in on their "grossest" drinks after a Reddit-user asked them: "What is the grossest drink you have ever made?"

The answers varied, and debatably beat @kenmixtapes on the gross-scale.

"I made someone a green tea latte with espresso in it. I have no idea what it would taste like, might be great, but it sounds and looks horrid," wrote one barista.

"Sounds pretty simple, but still qualifies as the worst drink I've tasted in the ten years, I've worked for Starbucks: venti blended strawberry lemonade with two shots of espresso," described one user, echoing that of this TikTok recipe.

"I once had to make a CRF (Caramel Coffee Frappuccino) with 20 sugars in it. Like literal packs of sugar. With extra, extra caramel, of course. We tasted the dregs out of morbid curiosity, it was the most grainy, awful thing you could imagine, and I could not get the aftertaste out of my mouth all day. I don't know how she drank a whole venti," added another.
