Stephen Colbert's Bad Hair Day Gets Even Worse Thanks to This Hilarious Photoshop Battle

Late Show host Stephen Colbert ignited an epic Photoshop Battle on Reddit after he shared a picture of himself on Twitter during a bad hair day.

Colbert posted the picture on Tuesday and noted his own resemblance to the Heat Miser, a character from the animated TV special The Year Without Santa Claus. Unfortunately for Colbert, most barbershops in the U.S. are closed for the foreseeable future due to the coronavirus.

Some fans tweeted out other similarities they noticed from Colbert's unique hairdo to that of other fictional characters, including Syndrome from Pixar's The Incredibles and Goku from Dragonball Z.

Once the picture was posted to Reddit, users found a ton of ways to make Colbert's bad hair even worse (or better, depending on your outlook) with a ton of hilarious edits.

One user made the aforementioned Syndrome fantasy a reality by coloring the late night host's hair red and putting his face over the character's body. Syndrome's signature line, "You sly dog, you got me monologuing," has never been more fitting.

The large hair is also perfect for animated character comparisons. One Redditor depicted Colbert as the titular star from Nickelodeon's The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron.

Others saw that the big hair would fittingly make Colbert a comic book or anime character. One person colored Colbert's hair green and applied makeup to make him look like Heath Ledger's Joker from The Dark Night. Another person put a lot of work into their Photoshop, chopping Colbert's hair so that he appeared as Dragon Ball Z's Vegeta. And someone made a more realistic edit that showed Colbert resembling a lot like Damien Lewis.

Another user posted Colbert's face over another comedy icon, Jim Carrey, playing the title role in Ace Ventura. Someone also plastered Colbert over the film's poster.

What may be the creepiest Photoshopped effort, though, was someone who moved Colbert's hair to his chin to turn it into an epic beard, leaving the TV host bald--a sight that no one should see.

Of course, no one could totally ignore Colbert's original Heat Miser comparison. A Redditor edited the photo so that the Late Show host could play the character in a live-action reboot.

Colbert offered his stamp of approval on Twitter, sharing one person's photo who turned him into the world's scariest Troll doll. "My hair has sparked a Reddit PsBattle. Like I've always said, the next best thing to the Barber Shop is the Photo Shop," he wrote.
