White House deputy chief of staff Stephen Miller listed his Arlington, Virginia, house for sale nearly a month after protesters chalked messages outside calling out his policies.
Newsweek filled out a contact request form with America First Legal, co-founded by Miller, for comment on Friday.
Why It Matters
Miller is a key architect of the Trump administration’s immigration policy. He has drawn controversy and criticism during President Donald Trump's second term, particularly regarding his support of hardline immigration policies and increasing executive power.

Miller is married to Katie Miller, who served as a special assistant to the president and the communications director for former Vice President Mike Pence during Trump’s first term. They have three children.
According to Redfin, the median sale price of a home in Arlington was $700,000 last month.
What To Know
On October 7, the Millers listed their house for $3.75 million on Redfin. The nearly 6,000 square foot house, which has 6 bedrooms and 6.5 bathrooms, is located in a cul-de-sac in Country Club Hills. The house was custom-built in 2023 and sold for $2.87 million.
The family has not publicly stated where they are moving to. According to Redfin, virtual and in-person house showings are available throughout the week.
Protesters have coordinated drawing chalk messages outside Miller's home on at least two occasions.
In September, the group Arlington Neighbors United said in an Instagram post that protesters used their First Amendment rights to chalk “over 50 thoughtful, peaceful messages. Many called for Stephen Miller to end his inhumane policies towards our immigrant and LGBTQIA+ neighbors and to uphold American democratic values.”
Shortly afterward, Katie Miller posted a video washing off the messages on X, writing, “To the ‘Tolerant Left’ who spent the day trying to intimidate us in the house where we have three young children: We will not back down.”
Some of the messages included “hate has no home in Arlington,” “no white nationalism,” “Miller is preying on families,” and “Stephen Miller is destroying democracy.”
Katie Miller called out the actions in an X post on September 15, writing, “I present to you: left-wing groups fomenting violence.”
Some protesters previously handed out fake “wanted” posters of Miller near his home during the first Trump administration.
