President Donald Trump announced Friday that Stephen Miller will replace Susie Wiles as White House chief of staff, elevating one of his most trusted advisers to the administration’s top staff position.
Wiles, who has served as chief of staff since Trump returned to office, will move to what the president described as the “Trump Political Operation,” though he did not provide further details about her new role.
The major shake-up comes just days after Republicans lost control of Congress in the midterm elections.
